清明节祭祖有多种形式,以下是其中一些:
扫墓当天,子孙们先将先人的坟墓及周围的杂草修整和清理,然后供上食物、鲜花等。扫墓是清明节最早的一种习俗,主要是为了纪念先人,表现出对他们的关心和尊重。
清明节当天有些人家也在家里拜祭祖先。
由于火葬越来越 普遍,前往骨灰置置所拜祭先人将逐渐取代上坟的习俗。
新加坡华人也在庙字里为死者立神主牌,庙宇因此也成了清明祭祖的地方。
